The faculty of Learn Edx are Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologists with specialty Board Certifications including Electrodiangnostics and offer our students 30+ years of clinical and practical expertise.
Drs. Petryk and Humphreys are the lead instructors:
George Petryk, BS, DC, DACNB, FACFN, FABES
Dr. Petryk is a graduate of the Brooke Army Medical Science and Research Institute and Excelsior College. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from Life University in 1997. He graduated from the Carrick Institute and earned his Board Certification in Chiropractic Neurology (DACNB). He continued his neurology training and earned Fellowships from the American College of Functional Neurology in both Functional Neurology (FACFN) and Electrodiagnostics (FABES). Dr. Petryk was also adjunct professor at the American Academy of Manual and Physical Medicine and taught courses in Manipulation Under Anesthesia (MUA) and Pain Management. Dr. Petryk has served 35 years in various medical and chiropractic healthcare and is currently the founder and managing member of NeuroDx Associates, LLC, a specialized practice offering on-site electrodiagnostic physiological testing as well as neurophysiological intraoperative monitoring.
C. Robert Humphreys, MS, DC, DACNB
Dr. Humphreys is a professor in clinical sciences at the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois and practices clinical neurology at the National University of Health Sciences clinic in Lombard, Illinois. Dr. Humphreys is a cum laude graduate of the National College of Chiropractic with a Doctor of Chiropractic. He received a Masters of Science in the Biological Sciences from Kent State University, and a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts-Biology from Nasson College in Springville, Maine. He earned his Board Certification in Chiropractic Neurology (DACNB) in 1995 and later earned his Certification in Electrodiagnostics. Dr. Humphreys is a member of the Post-Graduate Faculty of the Lincoln College of Post-professional Graduate and Continuing Education Departments of National University of Health Sciences. Dr. Humphreys is Treasurer of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board.
Jon Block, BS, DC, CNIM (Guest Speaker)
Dr. Block is a graduate of The American University earning his Bachelor of Arts. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from Life University in 1999. In 2004, he was trained in electrodiagnostics and in 2005, he implemented the electrodiagnostics program at the Center for Neuro and Spine in Akron, Ohio performing and interpreting all of the clinical electrodiagnostic evaluations for the neurosurgery department. Dr. Block continued and earned his Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) in 2007 and since then, he has monitored hundreds of surgeries in 9 different states and 4 countries. Dr. Block is the Chief Operating Officer for Ion Physiology. He will be our guest speaker for the Intraoperative Monitoring (IOM) module.
